You might have tried rewards, consequences, routines, reassurance, pep talks, and endless patience, but nothing seems to stick.
You are not alone. And there is a way forward.

How I Can Help
My approach delivers practical and immediate strategies that empower children to take charge of their emotions and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns.
NLP4Kids sessions help children to:
- Understand what is driving their emotions
- Reduce anxious thinking
let go of negative self-talk - Develop confidence and self-belief
- Feel calmer in stressful situations
- Improve resilience and emotional regulation
Children often respond exceptionally well because they are not as conditioned as adults. They are more open to change, more creative, and more willing to learn new ways of thinking when it feels safe and engaging.
Unlike long-term talk-only approaches, NLP4Kids is focused on real-world outcomes and practical skills.
Many children benefit from a structured programme of around 4 to 8 sessions, depending on what is happening for them.
What Happens First? (Free Consultation)
I offer a free 30-minute ‘Discovery Call’ online or by phone. This is a chance for us to talk through:
- What your child is struggling with
- What you have already tried
- What you would like to change
- Whether NLP4Kids is the right fit
If you decide to move forward, the first paid session includes a deeper assessment and exploration of your child’s motivation, goals, and emotional patterns.
After that, I create a personalised plan which usually lasts for another 4 to 8 sessions, depending on what comes up.
Why NLP?
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a set of structured techniques that explore the connection between:
- thoughts and emotional responses
- language and communication
- behavioural patterns learned through experience
NLP shares some similarities with CBT because it challenges unhelpful beliefs. However, NLP is often highly effective for children because it is creative, engaging, and focused on empowering them to see what is possible.
In my practice in Billingshurst (or online), I use child-friendly NLP strategies to help children and teenagers:
- Shift away from negative thinking patterns
- Change unhelpful habits
- Strengthen confidence and self-esteem
- Improve emotional resilience
- Feel more in control of their reactions
My approach is supportive of neurodiversity and includes children with ADHD and autistic traits.

Every child is different, so I adapt my methods to suit your child’s needs, personality and learning style. Sessions are designed to feel safe, encouraging and supportive.
My Goals for Parents

My work also helps parents to:
- Gain insight into what is driving their child’s behaviour
- Learn strategies for sibling rivalry, homework battles, anger and conflict
- Communicate more effectively and reduce emotional flare-ups
